BUILDING INNOVATION IS NO LONGER THE ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITY OF A FEW, IT IS EVERYONE'S RESPONSIBILITY

Program overview

Councils operate in an increasingly complex, uncertain and fast-paced environment, with constrained revenue and tightening budgets, while community expectations and demands on services continue to increase.

An organisation’s capability to build a culture that deliberately encourages and grows innovation is critical to not only success but survival.

The essential ingredient for building innovation is a belief that innovation is no longer the role and responsibility of a few, but it is everyone’s responsibility. This involves fostering a diversity of thought, skills and backgrounds in the workplace, and a mindset of curiosity, exploration and experimentation.

During this program, participants will hear how successful technology companies build and sustain innovative cultures and how this can apply to local government. This interactive session will provide a fresh perspective and open your thinking to what is possible!
