A word from the CEO

On what feels like the 98th of April, I welcome you to this month's edition of Leaders Connect! Isn't it amazing how much a massive disruption to one's routine can impact our perception of time? The LG Professionals SA calendar has a rhythm to it, and we have had to quickly learn to dance to a new song. This song has reiterated to us the strength of our partnerships and also taught us to be brave and take some risks. For our Emerging Leaders Program, that means that the 15th year of the program will see it take a virtual format. When I announced this to our People and Culture Network in their weekly Zoom catch up, our regional members were so excited! And it made me realise that a fear of getting it wrong has held us back in the past, it has blocked us from even trying. But now through necessity, we have explored virtual learning environments with speed, and we are so excited about delivering this fantastic experience. There are still a few places left so register today, especially if you are from the regions and perhaps previously couldn't consider this opportunity.

Moving forward, we do want you to know that we are here to support you and will be delivering many things virtually while also planning for face to face events later this year and into next.

News Flash

MODIFIED PROGRAM - ONLY FIVE PLACES AVAILABLE
Each year a cohort of 28 emerging leaders from across the sector undertake a seven-month experiential learning program, consisting of eight modules plus a group project.

We are excited to advise that we have come up with a revised program format which will see the first module delivered in a virtual interactive classroom and the last module take on a retreat format, with all modules in between being made available in a virtual interactive classroom, until such time as restrictions are lifted and then we will immediately go back to face to face. Register today!

Hugh McIntosh

This month we chatted with Hugh McIntosh, Manager, Marketing Operations, from City of Adelaide about his role, being a LG Professionals SA Board Member and his thoughts on staying connected.

What’s your current role and what does it involve?

I enjoy a breadth of responsibilities including leading three full-service ‘marcom’ teams that partner with the wide variety of departments across the City of Adelaide, supporting our three commercial businesses (U-Park, the Adelaide Aquatic Centre and the North Adelaide Golf Course) and supporting our Marketing Strategy Specialist. As a bit of a marketing-nerd, I also enjoy leading the marketing for the soon to be redeveloped Central Market Arcade. Read more...

How are you staying connected?

Whilst our networks may not currently be able to meet in person, that certainly hasn't stopped the information sharing, support and connections being made.

We are pleased to share that our Network Forums have gone virtual!
These virtual forums are intended to be informal and a place for you to ask questions of your peers and stay connected. All sessions are recorded and provided in a follow up email.
