A network for our members in the field of community development and community services

The LG Professionals SA Community Managers Network Committee has recently undertaken a review of the Networks offering, considering its future strategic direction with the aim of broadening accessibility and impact to the sector. An exciting outcome of this is the re-launch of the Network under a new name, the LG Professionals SA Community Development Network. This sees us broadening eligibility to not only those in a Management Role in the Community space, but all community practitioners and subject matter experts.

Network aim

  • To lead, drive and celebrate the practice of community development.
  • To understand and respond to trends, opportunities, and challenges in the community sector, and provide feedback to relevant stakeholders.
  • To provide a trusted platform for peer support and networking for the sector and strategic partners.
  • To offer timely, engaging, topical and relevant opportunities for professional development.
  • To position and prepare the community development sector for future changes.
  • To enhance the network’s visibility with impactful and engaging marketing and branding.

The Community Development Network Conference is held bi-annually. Find out more information here.
