Network Aim

The Women’s Network aims to maintain and improve the role of women employed in local government, to celebrate their contributions and identify and provide opportunities to network and /or access development and training.

Three network forums are held annually, these are tailor-made with inspiring speakers from the sector and beyond.

Women who work for a local government entity or subsidiary are encouraged to join.

Committee Nominations Now Open

The LG Professionals, SA Women’s Network Committee is calling for nominations for Committee Members.

If you have a keen interest in creating opportunities for female local government professionals to thrive then please consider this excellent opportunity to get involved!                                

We wish to invite nominations for:

  • 8 positions for terms beginning December 2020 and concluding December 2022
  • 1 position for term beginning December 2020 and concluding December 2021

Nomination Process

  • The nominations will be presented at the meeting on 26 November and the positions confirmed by the existing Committee.
  • In the instance that the number of nominations received exceed the positions available, a committee vote will be held via secret ballot.
  • Nominations can be made by emailing Tahlia Willey, LG Professionals SA at tahlia@lgprofessionalssa.org.au by 5pm Friday 20 November 2020.

Please submit up to one page addressing the following:

  • Your current position and organisation
  • Summary of relevant experience and qualifications
  • Motivation for involvement in the committee
