Join us as we explore the important topic of Cybersecurity, one of the most significant ‘risks’ keeping CEO’s up at night. We are pleased to be joined by interstate incident and response expert Reece Corbett-Wilkins.
This Forum will be held in person on Thursday 21 March 2024 from 1:45 PM - 4:45 PM at City of Adelaide, 25 Pirie Street, Adelaide.
Incident response – case studies and practical information
The introduction of a Mandatory Notification of Data Breach Scheme (MNDB Scheme) in NSW has set the tone for similar amendments to be introduced in other States to better align Federal and State privacy regimes.
These changes will impose privacy and data related obligations on State-owned entities (including local Government) which will fundamentally change how agencies will respond to data breaches.
Join cyber incident response specialist and partner at Clyde & Co, Reece Corbett-Wilkins as he outlines the key lessons learnt to date from the MNDB Scheme and how South Australian Local Government can learn from the NSW experience including:
- understanding the current trends and key legislative developments in the cyber and privacy landscape,
- the support offered to Local Governments in responding to incidents; and
- case studies and lessons for Local Government in navigating the changing cyber and privacy landscape 5+ years on from the introduction of the Federal Notifiable Data Breaches Scheme and in the first four months of the MNDB Scheme.
