When you engage with your community, you have an expectation of them. So do they of you. If there is not a clear definition of the expectation, each will adopt their own. Will they align? Are they reasonable? Can they be achieved?

We call this "the promise". Not a mysterious engagement concept but a master key to building public confidence in your organisation. Join Darren Keenan for this 45 minute OurSay webinar to help you build “the promise” and give you techniques to implement it.

Learning Objectives

  • Build confidence to make a promise at the beginning of each and every engagement process.
  • Compose the wording of the promise so that it is realistic and achievable for the organisation to deliver on that promise.
  • Understand both the need, and steps to take, to seek approval from decisions makers.
  • Explore how making the promise can assist in building community trust, capacity and understanding.

Who should attend?

Community engagement practitioners, managers of community engagement practitioners, communications professionals, decision makers, and anybody with an interest in community engagement.
