Amanda Cech, Innovation and Performance Manager, City of Charles Sturt

Amanda has spent much of her career working for Coca-Cola Amatil where innovation was part of the companies DNA. Her career itself has been unique with positions across sales and supply chain, and then moving to City of Charles Sturt.

Innovation and business improvement was prominent across her career whether it be when heading up the Innovation team within product innovation such as Mother Energy Drink, Jim Beam with Cola, Powerade Zero, Coke Zero, Vitamin Water, mini cans, or closure design.

Technology and process improvement when in the Director of Logistics position via implementing cutting edge robotic warehouse infrastructure, female attraction programs or standisation of 100’s process across 5 national warehouses.

Amanda’s innovation journey commenced when she was in the position of General Manager of Coke’s 7th largest global customer, that being Woolworths supermarket. This is where her love for innovation commenced with business partnering planning process, the first ever data insights/business intelligence team or space management on your supermarket shelves.

Today she is going to take us through her experience at Coca-Cola and how she can see it applying to local government.
